Welcome on arrival at Bagdogra Airport / New Jalpaiguri Railway Station and transfer to Darjeeling. Standing high in the Himalayas at an altitude of 2,134m, ‘Dorje Ling’, or “Place of the Thunderbolt,” offers breathtaking views of snow-capped mountain peaks, with Kanchenjunga towering above all.

After breakfast, drive to Gangtok, en route visiting Teesta Village. At an altitude of 1,750m, Gangtok became the state capital in the mid-19th century and has grown rapidly since. The downtown area features huge government buildings adorned with traditional Buddhist symbols.
Gangtok is also a gateway for travelers heading to North Sikkim. Surrounded by monasteries and orchids, it offers a unique blend of nature, culture, and modernity.

After breakfast, enjoy a full-day excursion to Changu Lake (35 km from Gangtok, altitude 12,400 ft). The lake is fed by melting snow from the surrounding mountains. Legends say that lamas could predict the future by observing the color of the lake’s waters.

After breakfast, drive to Kalimpong. Situated at an altitude of 1,250m, Kalimpong offers a serene and relaxed getaway. Its favorable climate has made its orchids and gladiolus world-renowned.
Historically, Kalimpong was part of Sikkim until the early 1700s, later under Bhutanese control, and annexed to Darjeeling after the Anglo-Bhutan War in 1865. Scottish missionaries arrived in the late 1800s, and the town thrived as a wool trading center with Tibet until the 1950s.
