Welcome on arrival at Bagdogra Airport / NJP Railway Station and transfer to Darjeeling. Standing high in the Himalayas at an altitude of 2,134m, ‘Dorje Ling’, or “Place of the Thunderbolt,” offers breathtaking views of snow-capped peaks, with Kanchenjunga towering above all.

Often called the “Queen of the Hills,” Darjeeling enchants with tiny waterfalls, quaint villages, and its narrow-gauge railway. Surrounded by world-famous tea gardens, it remains one of India’s most exotic destinations. Graeme Westlake describes Darjeeling as having “a view scarcely unrivalled on Earth.”

Overnight stay in Darjeeling.

Early morning visit Tiger Hill to witness the sunrise over the Himalayan range, including Kanchenjunga and Mount Everest. Watch the horizon change colors and the mountains glow golden.

Post breakfast, enjoy city sightseeing including:

• Tea Estate (from outside)

Overnight stay in Darjeeling.

After breakfast, drive to Pelling, located in western Sikkim at an altitude of ~2,000m. This serene mountain village offers spectacular views of Mount Kanchenjunga and a tranquil Himalayan atmosphere.

Overnight stay in Pelling.

Breakfast at the hotel and drive to Gangtok. At 1,750m, Gangtok is the capital of Sikkim and has developed rapidly since the mid-19th century. The downtown area features large government buildings decorated with traditional Buddhist symbols.

En route or after arrival, enjoy half-day sightseeing including:

• Handicraft Centre & Institute of Tibetology
• Do Drul Chorten
• Bakthang Falls

Overnight stay in Gangtok.

After breakfast, enjoy a full-day excursion to Changu Lake (35 km from Gangtok, altitude 12,400 ft). The lake is fed by melting snow from surrounding mountains. Legends say lamas could forecast the future by studying the color of the lake’s waters.

Also visit New Baba Mandir before returning to Gangtok.

Morning transfer to Bagdogra Airport / New Jalpaiguri Railway Station for onward journey.
