Sirpur Heritage & Barnawapara Wildlife Trail

On arrival at Raipur Airport or Railway Station, meet our representative and proceed towards Sirpur, an ancient heritage town known for its archaeological and religious significance. After reaching Sirpur, begin the sightseeing tour covering the renowned Laxman Temple, Gandheshwar Mahadev Temple, Buddha Vihar (Buddhist monastery ruins), Surang Tila, and Swastik Vihar. These monuments reflect Sirpur’s glorious past as an important center of Buddhist and Hindu learning. After completing the sightseeing, enjoy lunch at a local restaurant or an arranged meal.

Post lunch, continue the journey towards Barnawapara Wildlife Sanctuary, driving through scenic rural and forest landscapes. Upon arrival, check in to your jungle resort or forest lodge and relax amidst nature. Enjoy dinner at the resort and stay overnight near the sanctuary.

Start the day early and proceed for an exciting morning jungle safari inside Barnawapara Wildlife Sanctuary (subject to forest department permission). The sanctuary is home to a variety of wildlife including deer, bison (gaur), sambhar, wild boar, monkeys, and numerous bird species. After the safari, return to the resort for breakfast.

The rest of the day is free for leisure. you can relax at the resort, enjoy a guided nature walk, indulge in bird watching, or simply experience the calm and peaceful surroundings of the forest. Lunch and dinner will be served at the resort, followed by an overnight stay at Barnawapara.

After breakfast, check out from the resort and begin the return journey to Raipur. On arrival, guests will be dropped at Raipur Airport or Railway Station, marking the end of a memorable trip that beautifully combines heritage exploration and wildlife adventure in Chhattisgarh.
